Now all of the sudden there are fans declaring that this wil never get done, there isnt a soul in the govt willing to support it, etc etc etc etc etc. To them, its like the entire summer didnt even happen.TheMetalChickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06627766622392257867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6420070021149211641.post-243543016848532712009-09-01T11:00:25.592-04:002009-09-01T11:00:25.592-04:00mrlbem - I really think it's that one particul...mrlbem - I really think it's that one particular reporter. Their editorial board has strongly endorsed the Lighthouse, and their commentators like Ellis Henican are 100% behind it.

However, it should raise questions that this isn't front-page news, and the upcoming piece and/or series will delve into this, partially. It's time to expose this.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11753698648862261183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6420070021149211641.post-43385238235175602662009-09-01T10:54:09.201-04:002009-09-01T10:54:09.201-04:00Nick,
The Newsday negative twist has been gnawing...Nick,

The Newsday negative twist has been gnawing qat me. Anyone who has read that paper over the years has to have realized that the paper would never side with a local Republican politician. Never. The editorial board of that paper traditionally has been more liberal than the New York Times. For them now to be "siding" with the Town on the LHP makes no sense, unless of course, the Dolans now control the Board.mrlbemhttp://optonline.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6420070021149211641.post-35621995178175483242009-09-01T09:04:03.283-04:002009-09-01T09:04:03.283-04:00Well, we know there's a certain Newsday report...Well, we know there's a certain Newsday reporter who is for some reason all too eager to report negative things about the Lighthouse.

I can't understand - like you - how we went so quickly from cooperation back to a siege mentality. I don't want to re-start the rancor or criticism (though I will if necessary); I just want to hear from them.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11753698648862261183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6420070021149211641.post-74652615888308397292009-09-01T08:25:00.401-04:002009-09-01T08:25:00.401-04:00I too am wondering about the silence...or worse ye...I too am wondering about the silence...or worse yet the articles that are coming out in Newsday seem to have a negative twist on the project...remember if this project goes away, so do the Islanders....which means that the tax revenue that they currently bring in will disappear too.islanderbillhttp://forums.newyorkislanders.com/index.php?showuser=639noreply@blogger.com
